ReformUK support for a third runway continues to grow

Support for a third runway continues to grow amongst ReformUK grassroots, ahead of the London elections. On Friday 27th March, over 40 Reform activists from across London joined the Back Heathrow campaign for a presentation on the plans for Europe’s biggest infrastructure project – Heathrow’s third runway.

Alex Wilson, (ReformUK London Assembly Member) spoke at the event and said: “We have been waiting for Heathrow’s third runway for over 20 years. Now the country cannot wait any longer for the economic growth this project will unlock. We’ve had plenty of chances to get this runway built, so if the current government doesn’t have the nerve to deliver it, then Reform will. ReformUK members were delighted to join this fantastic Back Heathrow event. It’s a cross-party organisation but I believe we are the most vocal in our support.”

Parmjit Dhanda, Executive Director of Back Heathrow said: “The case for Heathrow expansion is crystal clear, and we now need continuous and active support from across the political spectrum to deliver this project. We will continue to campaign with all political parties, and this was a very productive event with ReformUK activists from across London. We represent over 100,000 people who support a third runway. We know it has the potential to be a vote winner, not a vote loser, particularly at a time when the UK economy is facing such strong headwinds.”

Back Heathrow is a community campaign representing over 100,000 local residents who support the expansion of Heathrow Airport.
